The book is a comprehensive survey and covers all English cathedrals. The illustrations are on occasions scant and don't show the best features of the cathedrals but this doesn't detract from the enjoyment. Ruth rated it liked it Shelves: non-fiction/5. I bought this book when it was out of print in hardback for twice of what it is selling for now. I was fortunate enough to take a guided tour with this author this past Fall. The book is my "bible" for England's cathedrals/5(28).
